NATALIA WEHLER
* 1970 has been living and working as a freelance artist in Cologne since 1991. She studied Information Processing for the Humanities with the question of how to preserve cultural heritage in the digital age and how to make it accessible for future generations. Her artistic work incorporates aspects of action and preservation in the age of ever-growing amounts of data. Since 2011, Natalia Wehler has been working on various series of works on dealing with information in the atomic age, in which she combines analogue and digital techniques. The traditional knowledge repository of wood and its printed image are confronted with modern multimedia elements such as projection and video. Her works have been exhibited in Germany and abroad since 1993.
