DARJA ESSER
* 1987 in Bonn (Germany), studied painting and drawing at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts and the Académie royale des Beaux Arts in Brussels. She then continued to study sculpture and architecture-related media as a master student at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts. In her work, she intuitively and sensually transfers experiences from everyday life and nature into subtle drawings, delicate objects, poetic videos and installations. In doing so, she reflects on the relationship between people and their bodies in relation to nature. Her works, in which she often uses translucent materials, convey a state of permeability in which the boundaries of the body seem to become transparent. Darja Eßer's works are presented in international exhibitions and projects.
