* 1971 in Gießen (Germany), lives and works in Gießen, Cologne, and Taipei/Taiwan. Already during his studies of media art at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, he began to pursue questions in an intercultural context. He initially compared these with connections in media theory and phenomenology and reflected on them in various media. Influenced by the philosophy of Daoism, he understands nature as a kind of resonance chamber in which the energies of all living beings react to one another. Based on his internationally represented artistic work, focussing on photography, video, objects and ink, Andreas Walther occasionally realises curatorial projects and is involved in lectures, workshops, and teaching assignments at colleges and universities in Germany and Taiwan.
